Congratulations
to the
2007-2008 UNLV AMA Case Competition Team! 3rd

The
UNLV AMA case team was chosen (among 8 schools out of over
60) to present at the 2008 International Collegiate Conference
in New Orleans. The case team delivered a 30 minute presentation
to McGraw Hill with a marketing plan for the launch of their
e-portal.
The
Case team won 3rd prize at the competition, among some of
top business schools from across the country.
We
congratulate them on all of their hard work and accomplishments!

Case Team Presenters:
Gina Mizzoni, Grace Small, Brian Knowlton,
and Jennifer Bianchi
My
name is Jenn Bianchi and I am currently the VP of Membership
and CO-Captain of the Case Competition. It is my goal
to become as involved as I can and contribute my thoughts
and ideas to make this years AMA team the best team
it has ever had. My responsibilities as VP of Treasury
include creating a budget that will allow the member
of AMA to network and socialize with contacts and executives
across the city. My responsibilities as CO-Captain include
organizing meetings, delegating tasks, and helping this
year case team make it to the finals next spring.
I
am a full time student at UNLV graduating in spring
2008 with a bachelors degree in Marketing and a minor
in Management. My goal is to eventually work in sports
marketing. I would like to start at a university level
and work my way up to a national level. I strive to
become involved in as many organizations as I can. I
am currently a Project Manager for SIFE, have worked
on marketing plans for Buick, Monster Energy Drink,
UNLV Basketball team/Athletics, and have an internship
lined up for December 2007 with the NFL Marketing Department.
My
name is Brian Knowlton. I amd the VP of Fundraising
and I am in charge of operations for this years case
competition team. I am a Marketing major with a minor
in Sociology and plan on graduating December of 2008.
I work for a distribution company called Nevada Premium
Brands in the Sales and Marketing department. Also I
am in charge of new media for the UNLV Students for
Barrack Obama campaign on campus. In my spare time I
stay active with my outdoor hobbies (snowboarding, climbing,
kayaking, fly fishing) also training for and competing
in triathlons. This year we have put together a complete
case team with each member contributing their specific
skills. With extensive primary and secondary research
techniques we fill we can put together a project worthy
of presenting in New Orleans following last years case
team.

I
am a double major in international business and marketing
and will be graduating in the spring of 2008. I am currently
involved with a marketing and public relations internship
for UNLV Educational Outreach. I enjoy traveling, music,
film, and culture. Upon graduation, I would like to
pursue a Masters of Marketing Research or an MBA.
My
long-term goal is to use my strong analytical skills
to revolutionize various companies. I have the ability
to deliver both innovative and functional results. For
AMA, I plan to use this ability to help the organization
grow. I have experience in both marketing and promotions,
and hope to utilize that attained knowledge while involved
with AMA. I believe strongly in AMA and the ways in
which it can influence a student's career. One must
be proactive if they want to succeed and AMA is a step
in the right direction. I hope to help more students
realize this.

I
was born in Long Beach, California, but I've had the
opportunity to grow up in a number of different places.
I attended elementary school in California, Colorado
Springs, CO and spent my 6th grade year abroad in the
South of Sweden where I was taught the language and
culture extensively. I attended middle school and high
school in the Bay Area of California and upon high school
graduation chose to study further for one more year
at Polhem Skolan in Lund, Sweden as a high school foreign
exchange student. Upon returning to the U.S., I chose
to complete my first two years of collegiate study at
the San Diego Mesa Community College before transferring
to UNLV to complete my Bachelor's in Marketing.
My
ultimate career goal is to become a product or brand
manager for a leading pharmaceutical company such as
GlaxoSmithKline or Merck. In order to achieve this position,
I hope to first become a sales representative for the
company, next to become promoted as a regional sales
manager and eventually promoted to product or brand
manager status. I plan to graduate in the spring of
next year and will begin interviewing with a number
of leading pharmaceutical companies shortly thereafter.
